Vlad Plasmius VS Zs'Skayr (Danny Phantom VS Ben 10)

Monsters are real, ghosts are real too. They live inside of us. And sometimes, they win.”

  • Stephen King

Vlad Plasmius, CEO of VladCo from Danny Phantom

Zs'Skayr, High Ecto Lord from Ben 10

Ghosts, phantoms, spectres, whatever you call them. They’re some of the most popular creatures in media. Humanity is fascinated with the idea that these exist, and more specifically, the fact they can harm us. Can Vlad Plasmius prove to Zs’Skayr why he should be the true ecto lord? Or will Zs’Skayr keep his throne and cut this faker down? Come along to Saul’s VS Blog and find out who would win DEATH BATTLE!!!!

Before We Go Anywhere

Canon can be a little hard to define for Danny Phantom due to the creator always spouting things on Twitter. For this blog, we’ve considered the main show and the Glitch in Time comic that specifically takes place after the show. While the creator of Danny Phantom didn’t have any involvement with it (Which, TBH, is for the greater good) nothing explicitly deconfirms it.

As for Ben 10, we’ll be covering every show outside of the reboot, and the comics and video games. While Zs’Skayr doesn’t have many appearances, we’re also considering

Background

Vlad Plasmius

“Daniel, stop. Think about the things I can show you, the doors I can open for you. You. Danny Phantom, and I, Vlad Plasmius. Together we can rule.”

Vlad Masters was the college best friend of the quack “brilliant” scientist Jack Fenton. Desperately pining after Jack’s lab assistant Maddie Walker, he was roped into Jack’s phantasmic passion project, a prototype portal, that would rip a hole between Earth and the theoretical Ghost Zone. Despite warning Jack that this would never work, and Maddie warning Jack his calculations were all wrong, in an act of impulse, Jack activated the portal, and Vlad was caught in the crossfire. The ecto energy bonded with his DNA, giving him a horrid condition dubbed “ecto-acne”, and hospitalising him. This gives him a grudge and vendetta against his former friend, made even worse when Jack marries the woman of Vlad’s affection, Maddie. However, an unexpected benefit occurred from the accident, Vlad discovered he had developed ghost powers, becoming the first true Phantom.

He’d spend the next twenty years, using his powers for his own benefit, forming a business and developing an immense fortune. All while plotting his eventual revenge against Jack, however, his revenge plot became complicated when he discovered the existence of another half-ghost hybrid created by Jack’s foolishness, Jack’s own son, Daniel Fenton. Vlad saw Daniel not only as a potential ally but also as a way to enact the perfect revenge against Jack. If he could turn Jack's son against him, it would be the ultimate victory. However, Vlad underestimated Daniel's resilience and moral compass. Despite the young hybrid's inexperience, Danny was not so easily swayed. Instead of finding a protégé in Daniel, Vlad found a rival—a constant thorn in his side who represented everything he couldn’t have: the family he had always wanted and the hero he could never be.

Vlad’s obsession with Danny grew over time. He alternated between attempts to manipulate him into becoming his apprentice and outright schemes to destroy him if he refused. These plans were often as grandiose as they were flawed, fueled by Vlad's arrogance and his underestimation of Danny's resourcefulness and growing powers.

At the same time, Vlad's public persona as a wealthy and influential figure allowed him to mask his more sinister intentions, even taking up politics. As mayor of Amity Park, he positioned himself as a benevolent leader, using his influence to fund ghost-hunting technology while covertly furthering his own agenda. This double life allowed him to maintain his power while continuing his vendetta against the Fentons and anyone who stood in his way.

Yet, underneath his cold and calculating demeanor, Vlad was deeply lonely. His wealth, power, and ghostly abilities could never fill the void left by his unrequited love for Maddie and his bitterness over the life he felt was stolen from him. This internal struggle often manifested in moments of vulnerability, showing that beneath his villainous exterior, Vlad Masters was a man driven as much by pain and longing as by ambition and revenge.

As the years went on, Vlad’s rivalry with Danny pushed both of them to new heights. While Vlad sought to create the perfect future for himself, Danny remained a constant reminder of his failures and the path he could never take—a path of redemption and genuine connection. Their battles became a clash not just of power, but of ideals, with Danny embodying hope and selflessness while Vlad represented obsession and greed.

After Vlad had revealed his true identity to the world in an attempt to gain ultimate power, he was left stranded in space for his troubles. He attempted one last power play, going to the embodiment of time, begging for Clockwork to go to the past. In the conflict, he revived Dark Danny, who absorbed Clockwork and gained his power. Vlad was sent running to Danny, where the two would team up and reveal the true nature of ghosts, something that Vlad had studied for years. After an initial breakdown over this, he would go back to fight against Dark Danny, where he would find his emotional drive, the want to put things right. He and Danny eventually beat Phantom (Dark Danny’s new name), where Vlad makes the ultimate sacrifice, fusing with the boy to make sure he won’t die. But, Clockwork has a gift. He splits Vlad and Phantom, creating a new version of Danny. Vlad finally had the protégé he was so desperate for.

In the end, Vlad’s story was a tragic one, not just of a man corrupted by power, but of someone who could never let go of his past and the dreams of what might have been. A true phantom menace…

Zs'Skayr

“So nice to finally meet you, face to face.”

In the vast universe there exists many oddities, but of them none are more freaky than a glitch in reality that girds the known universe and the null void, deep in the darkest parts of the Milky Way galaxy, a system strung together with intergalactic cobwebs, orbiting an anti-matter pocket reality, the Anur System. Home to the scariest and most frightening creatures in the galaxy, coincidentally resembling monsters from classic monster movies. Werewolves, mummies, Frankenstein’s monsters and more! But all were to be ruled by the ghost-like extraterrestrials, the ectonurites, and their high ecto lord Zs’Skayr!

A terrible, sadistic, and ruthless space tyrant, who used his ghost-like powers to conquer the entire anur-system. But even this was not enough for the frightening phantasm, he hungered for even more, to rule the entire universe, looking for any means of conquest. That was when he learned of the elusive device known as the Omnitrix, from a crashed scout probe from the tyrant Vilgax. He scoured the galaxy to find the device, hoping that with its power he would become unstoppable. He found Myaxx the assistant of the creator of the Omnitrix and possessed a species she was sampling for the device. However, this would be a mistake, as his DNA would be sampled inside the Omnitrix as well, and since an ectonurite’s consciousness exists even inside a few strands of DNA, his mind was effectively trapped inside the device.

For years he lay dormant, until the Omnitrix finally started to be put to use by the human child Ben Tennyson. He could feel all the boy's adventures, see through the device, and cling towards him. Furthermore, he gained subtle control over the boy’s actions whenever he transformed into his ectonurite form Ghostfreak. This angered the ecto lord, he wanted out. Eventually he managed to make his means of escape, separating from the boy, but felt incomplete, he still desired the Omnitrix, so he plotted to merge with Ben fully, which would make him all-powerful. Ben would thwart this plan, but it was merely the beginning of their rivalry.

Though Zs'Skayr was banished time and time again, his sinister intellect and ethereal nature made him nearly impossible to vanquish permanently. He repeatedly manipulated others into serving his schemes, even taking down fellow villains like Vilgax to using the terrifying powers of his home system's denizens. His mastery of fear and manipulation extended beyond brute force, as he often exploited the weaknesses of his enemies and sowed distrust among their ranks. Zs'Skayr's obsession with the universal conquest never wavered. Each encounter with Ben Tennyson revealed more of his cunning and cruelty, with Zs'Skayr using everything from psychological warfare to his ghostly powers to torment the young hero. Even as Ben grew older and more experienced, Zs'Skayr remained a formidable opponent, adapting his strategies and finding new ways to threaten not just Ben, but the fabric of reality itself.

What made Zs'Skayr truly terrifying was not just his raw power or immortality, but his unrelenting ambition and his ability to instill fear in even the bravest hearts. He became the embodiment of nightmares, a reminder that some enemies are not bound by the rules of life and death. As long as shadows exist in the universe, Zs'Skayr's specter continues to loom, a chilling promise that he may rise again when least expected. A grim reminder to be afraid of the dark…

Experience

Vlad Plasmius

As Plasmius himself states, he’s been honing his powers for twenty years, learning how to use his ghost techniques. He’s mastered and created techniques that Danny will learn in the future, such as duplicating himself into multiple versions of himself. He’s an incredibly skilled fighter, matching Danny in combat on several occasions. He’s great at fighting with many weapons, such as fighting and matching Danny in sword combat

With wealth comes brains (most of the time) and Vlad Plasmius is a schemer. He’s had many inventions created to specifically counteract Danny's ghost powers. He’s created many experiments, such as ghost animals, and has modified tech to aid him. For example, creating Valerie’s high-tech suit, or fixing Danny’s battle suit so it doesn’t drain the life force out of the target.

He’s a great schemer, creating countless schemes to gain power and riches. He made his first million by turning himself invisible, possessed people to create vote rigging, and tricked the Ghost King by using a clone. He created a smart scheme that caused Danny Phantom to willingly remove his powers

Zs'Skayr

The one true rightful ruler of the Anur system, Zs'Skayr's history is unknown, but he commands enough respect to lead multiple allies and plans. He was able to escape the Omnitrix by forcing Ben to use Ghostfreak, turn Earth into a group of monsters, and revive Lord Transyl by using the Alpha Rune. This specific plan is important thanks to the amount of set-up it took. Zs’Skayr spent multiple weeks planning and possessing people to get Dr. Viktor back to the Anur system.

As for combat experience, Zs’Skayr is shown to be a constant threat to Ben, almost beating him on multiple occasions due to skill alone. He’s been shown to adapt to new bodies and power sets on the fly, like possessing Frightwig and Acid Breath and using their powers. But perhaps his best showing of combat experience is against Vilgax, who had notably defeated multiple heroes before coming across Zs’Skayr. While the first fight takes place off-screen, Zs’Skayr beats Vilgax so badly that he’s sent running to Ben for help. Their second fight doesn’t end much better for Vilgax, as Zs’Skayr almost beats him, only losing due to his weakness to light.

Equipment

Vlad Plasmius

Binoculars

High-tech Binoculars that let him see from afar.

Vlad Bug

Super secret bugs Vlad uses to spy on people. It can also be used as a tracking device, able to touch those who are intangible

Spacesuit

You’d think that ghosts could breathe in space?

Ghost Pistol

In a plan to frame the ghost version of himself, Vlad pulls out a pistol to shoot him.

Holographic Maddie Fenton’s

Holographic AI versions of Maddie Fenton that Vlad uses to do tasks for him, such as conducting scans of the Disastroid, and running a space station. While an older model did betray him for AI Jack, he made more clones loyal to him.

Spectral Energy Neutralizer

Built by Skulker with the funding of Vlad, this weapon traps and disables the powers of ghosts, requiring a button on the outside to be pressed to disable it.

Ecto-Acne Bomb

A device that gives anyone Ecto-Acne if they’re caught in the blast radius. Ecto-Acne is a fatal disease, it weakens and eventually kills the subject in under a few hours.

Plasmius Maximus

A handheld device that powered nullified Danny for three hours.

Skeleton Key

In his original plan, Vlad Plasmius would use this Skeleton Key to open the Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep. Inside this exists the Ghost King, a man who instantly tries to take over the Ghost Zone and causes everyone to flee. Vlad is forced to team up with Danny to prevent him from destroying the real world. So while this is unlikely, Vlad can technically just use the key to summon him again.

Zs'Skayr

Claws, Tail, Tentacles

Natural weaponry Zs’Skayr uses to attack. He demonstrated the use of his tail against Vilgax, where he wrapped it around the warlord's neck to throw him. And ripped off his skin! Everyone’s favourite: nightmare fuel in children’s programming!

Scythe

In his recent appearances, Zs'Skayr is seen using a scythe to attack foes. He’s able to hook it underneath people to throw them, as seen against Lord Transyl

Powers and Abilities

Vlad Plasmius

Ghost Physiology

As learnt within the Danny Phantom comics, all ghosts are interlinked with a certain emotion, and ghosts will eventually become less sentient over time due to the loss of that emotion. Ghosts can find an emotional purpose, a reason for their existence in the world, which unlocks an incredibly powerful form (See forms).

As a half-ghost, Vlad and his ghost form are technically separate entities, that can be separated and destroyed without killing the other. Not only that but if they are separated, ghost forms can instantly join back with their human forms like nothing happened. Although it is important to note that they can’t just possess each other to join back. While in his ghost form, Vlad can fly.

It’s also important to note that, as a half-ghost, Vlad’s molecules have been permanently rearranged to fuze with Ectoplasm. (This is what a half-ghost is, as seen within the Intro)

Going Ghost

As a ghost-human hybrid, Vlad Plasmius can switch between his human and ghost form, signified by two dark rings.

Ecto Energy

Vlad Plasmius has mastered his use of Ecto Energy. He can fire concentrated beams of purple energy at a target to damage it. His attacks are so concentrated, that he’s able to harness and fire it through his fingers if needed or manipulate the Ecto Energy to create constructs like shields, swords, chains, and cages.

Ecto Energy is also flammable, causing fire to what it touches. It’s also reflective, and able to bounce off of surfaces. Vlad can also manipulate Ecto Energy into his physicals, able to enhance his attacks.

Ghost Stinger

(Called out on the wiki as being different so, fight them on it) This ability lets Vlad shock anyone who end’s up close to him, strong enough to force Danny back into human.

Intangibility

Vlad can turn intangible and pass through walls with ease. While intangible, Vlad can choose to make others intangible by touching them.

Invisibility

A standard ghost power, Vlad can turn himself invisible. He did this to gain his first million dollars (See above and scan)

Possession

Vlad’s first-ever plan involved trying to ruin Jack’s reputation and bagging Maddie. He would do this by possessing Jack, using his body to attempt to ruin his reputation. While possessing people, Vlad can fly and enhance the strength of the target. This does come with one drawback, the fact that other ghosts can throw you out of the possessed body.

Possession comes with some weird effects. It lets you enter someone's dreams, allowing you to see them. If you possess someone evil (as Ghost Danny did to Ghost Vlad) the evil half can take over your consciousness.

Energy Absorption

In his first fight with Danny, Vlad displayed the ability of Energy Absorption and redirection, as seen above.

Teleportation

What’s an evil villain without the power to teleport?

Duplication

One of his advanced techniques, Vlad can split himself into four versions of himself. These versions of Vlad have access to his abilities, allowing him to get a numbers advantage over his opponents.

Cyclone Creation

Vlad can spin fast enough to create a cyclone, which can protect him from attacks.

Shadow Clones

To commit voter fraud, Vlad creates shadow clones which possess people.

Dimensional Travel

When Danny and Vlad were battling against Phantom, they began to travel across many universes. This is done by an explosion caused by the duo.

Zs'Skayr

Ectonurite Physiology

Ectonurites can fly. You have to get around somehow without legs.

Intangibility

The most basic of abilities, all Ectonurites possess the ability to become intangible. Zs’skayr uses this ability defensively, being able to pass through and dodge objects with no issue. While intangible, Zs’Skayr can still interact with the world around him, like being able to keep Frightwigs hair attached to his arm or putting his arms into Thumbskull’s head and damaging him. If Zs’Skayr manages to grab you while he’s intangible, he can also extend this ability to you, as seen when he made Frankenstrike intangible.

His intangibility is so potent that he’s able to enter individuals' minds. Lord Viktor, one of Zs’Skayr’s allies, had King Xarion inside of his mind due to events within Ultimate Alien. Zs’Skayr was able to separate the two, removing the King's influence from Viktor’s mind. Whether or not he killed the king is up to debate, as the author's statements state that fragments of him still exist.

Invisibility

Another basic ability, Zs’Skayr can make himself invisible.

Possession

To use pawns within his plans, Zs’Skayr can enter and possess people. Zs’Skayr’s possession allows him to use the target's body however he wishes, such as throwing them around to make them submit, or using their bodies to fight and climb up walls.

But Zs’Skayr’s possession is far scarier than it might seem. When he enters a body, Zs’Skayr can choose to make those he possesses into an Ectonurite minion, a part of a hivemind. While these soldiers may be weak in durability, being able to be one-shot by the heroes, they’re physically strong enough to overpower Vilgax and can be summoned to Zs’Skayr at will. These slaves are tied to Zs’Skayr’s consciousness, so if he’s defeated, so shall they.

Energy Beams

Zs’Skayr can shoot an energy beam from inside his chest. Said beam is capable of clashing with Transylian electricity.

Telekinesis

Zs'Skayr can telekinetically throw things, signified by a blue glow around his hands. Zs'skayr also displayed telekinesis defensively, blocking a pillar cut through by Vilgax.

Nightmare Inducement

One of his stranger powers, Zs'Skayr caused a nightmare within Ben’s dreams.

Binding Blasts

Zs’skayr can fire dark binding blasts that you need to mash to get out of

Darkness Amplification

When Zs’Skayr is in total darkness, Zs'Skayr’s strength is enhanced.

Immortality

As stated by Zs’Skayr, an Ectonurite consciousness exists within a few strands of DNA, meaning that they’re effectively immortal. Dr Viktor was able to bring Zs’Skayr back after his first death through machinery and prep time. When Atomix creates a mini-energy source to keep Zs’Skayr out of his castle, Ben says “IF Zs’Skayr decides to come back.”, implying that Ben isn’t fully confident he’s dead.

Forms

Vlad Plasmius

Emotional Drive

Within Danny Phantom, all ghosts are tied to emotions and feed off of a certain emotion, but something more exists. Finding an Emotional Drive grants power towards those who find it, as Danny was able to conjure up new abilities after finding his Emotional Drive.  Vlad finds his emotional drive in wanting to make amends for the error of his ways.

Zs'Skayr

Ghostfreak

Zs’Skayr’s original form while inside the watch.

True Darkness

As mentioned in abilities, Zs’Skayr can amplify his stats within darkness, the most powerful being when he was fighting against Ben in space

Scaling

Vlad Plasmius

Danny Phantom

Vlad and Danny, a rivalry that started due to Vlad’s jealousy eventually expanded into something greater. Vlad and Danny have always been portrayed as equals, with Vlad completely dominating Danny in his first appearance. Of course, as Danny got stronger, he managed to match Vlad more and more.

Various Villainous Ghosts

As the show is Danny Phantom, there’s alot of ghosts to catch. Throughout the series, Danny fights a multitude of ghosts, who Vlad should scale to be fighting Danny, or meeting himself and beating.

Dark Danny (See Before Verdict)

An alternative version of Danny fused with Vlad, this powerful foe is best left alone. Dark Danny fuzed with Clockwork and created an unstable fusion, one that Vlad was able to match, justifying a scale.

Clockwork (See Before Verdict)

The literal embodiment of time, Clockwork is a powerful ghost who was absorbed by Dark Danny, who gained his powers temporarily. Vlad should scale for the same reason he does to Dark Danny.

Zs'Skayr

(Credit to Bang’s original blog, again, who did all of these scaling arguments already. We’re not trying to pass any of these feats as our own and again, you should check out and support the original blog where these arguments are made.

Ben, Gwen, Kevin

As one of Ben’s original ten aliens, it should be no surprise that Zs’Skayr scales to Ben himself. Zs’Skayr has come into conflict with the heroes on multiple occasions and has kept up/beat them. While Zs’Skayr hasn’t fought all of Bens's aliens, he has beaten the likes of Gwen and Kevin, who have accomplished such feats, justifying this scaling chain.

Vilgax

Ol’ Squid face over here is an incredibly powerful threat, one that Zs’Skayr has beaten. His off-screen fight with Vilgax sent him running, leaving a viable black eye. Their second fight almost ended with Zs’Skayr's victory, it took him exposing the creature's weakness to sunlight to beat him.

Other Villains

While Zs’Skayr has never personally interacted with many of Ben’s antagonists, he should scale to them based on his encounters with the main trio.

Ascalon, Sir George, and Dagon (Debatable, see Before the Verdict)

Why didn't George just kill/absorb Dagon instead of doing all that shit with pierced heart, seals and invisible castle? : r/Ben10

We’re not going to beat around the bush, this scaling is going to require explanation, but the main argument is that Zs’Skayr should scale by his encounters with the main trio.

Weaknesses

Vlad Plasmius

Vlad’s main weakness is his pride and ego. He’s an overconfident man who loves to assume victory before things have gone his way. He can also be blinded by his love of Maddie Fenton. For example, he backed off from Danny when he threatened to expose Vlad’s secret identity to her.

He also comes with some ghost weaknesses. Flowers known as Blood Blossoms cause ghosts to feel extreme pain when they’re near them, ghosts can be driven away by certain tech, and Vlad cannot interact with Ecto-ranium, which is what the Disasteroid was made out of.

Zs'Skayr

A common weakness of all Ectonurites, Zs'skayr has been stated and shown to be destroyed by light. While solar rays usually undo him, the focused nuclear energy of Atomix was able to cause a similar reaction. Some of his abilities also have limitations. For example, he cannot possess Ben’s aliens or Mutated Kevin.

But perhaps his biggest weakness is his ego. Zs’Skayr loves to monologue, assuming he’s won before Ben has even died. Zs’Skayr failed to consider how his minions would feel about Lord Transyl’s revival, whose species enslaved them. This leads to him being blindsided by Dr. Viktor betraying him, something he should’ve seen coming.

Danny Phantom Cosmology: Explained!

(Credit to 5YL for the Ghost Zone art)

Before we can get into any of the high-tier arguments for Danny Phantom, it’s important to note the cosmology of the verse. I want to give a big thank you to LordGriffin1000 on VS Battle Wiki who established these arguments.

Firstly, let’s start with the basics. The Human and Ghost Zones are two realms separated by an event known as the Great Divide. Despite this separation, they’re still interlinked. The destruction of one realm would ultimately spell doom for the other one. It’s why every ghost comes together to help the Disasteroid pass through Earth.

As for the size of these respective verses? Well, both have arguments of being infinite within size. For the Ghost Zone, the creator of Danny Phantom has stated that the Ghost Zone is an endless place of ectoplasm holding millions of ghosts. While some people don’t like Author Statements (or the creator of Danny Phantom), this being infinite is backed up in the show. Striker, a ghost bounty hunter who lives within the zone, states there are infinite realms within the Ghost Zone. You also have Infinite Realms, an episode which deals with Vlad Plasmius travelling to different realms using the Infi-Map. You also have the fact that Danny states that the place “Goes on forever.”  Overall, this seems to establish that the Ghost Zone should be infinite in size.

Of course, you can easily argue the human world is infinite by being the Ghost Zone, as you can’t half infinite without getting infinite right back, but the human world has its arguments of being infinite. Danny states that space is filled with infinite darkness, and given he’s a space nerd, he should know this.

Now, let’s talk about the individual Ghost Realms and timelines. One of the biggest feats within Danny Phantom is the ghost Clockwork compressing multiple timelines to make two new timelines for Danny. One where Danny is remembered as a hero but loses his powers. Or one where everyone forgets his identity, but he keeps his powers. You can see he’s using doors here, which are representative timestreams. We know that the individual doors within the Ghost Zone run on their timelines, as the overall Ghost Zone appears across time. Not only that, but you have realms like Dorathea the Dragon which are stuck in permanent time. It would only make sense that these individual zones are infinite, as they would have to contain these infinite timestreams. Not only that, but they would HAVE to be infinite to create the two new time zones that Clockwork creates. You can’t compress finite space and create infinite space. This would also buff the size of the Ghost Zone itself, as we’ve seen places within the zone without realms in sight. Infinite realms with Infinite Timelines cannot fill up the infinite size of the Ghost Zone (Does that make it infinite+, can you + infinity?)

This is important before we get to higher tier feats, as many of the best Danny Phantom feats are based on the size of the cosmology.

Immeasurable/Infinite Danny Phantom

Probably the thing that most people reading this blog are going to disagree with, we want to lay out all of our arguments for immeasurable/Infinite Danny Phantom.

It’s important to understand the cosmology of Danny Phantom, so if you haven’t read what’s before this segment, please do so. But to lay the basics out, both the human realm and the ghost world are infinite in size, and other timelines within Danny Phantom are infinite to be consistent with the cosmology.

1 - Pariah Dark moves really quick: If you checked out the first infinite speed feat in the blog, you’ll see that Pariah Dark managed to remove every ghost from the ghost zone in under a day, as stated by Ember. If you check out the original calc, they state that this cannot be an infinite speed feat as he only needs to check enough realms until there are no ghosts. There are two potential counters to this. One, Pariah Dark is still moving across an infinite space to check every part of it to find ghosts, he would still be travelling an infinite amount of distance to find said ghosts, since not all areas of the Ghost Zone contain rooms. Not only that but through Clockwork using said realms to make the infinitely sized Earth again, these specific realms would need to be infinite. Also, it’s stated that he’s destroying these realms, with Danny later stating after Pariah Dark is defeated that the ghosts are going back to repair their realms. So, yeah, destroying an infinitely sized realm.

2 - Danny, Vlad, and Phantom’s Final Clash: If you’ve seen the Dimensional Travel segment of the blog, you’ll know that Vlad, Danny, and Phantom travel across many different zones during their final attack. Doors, in Danny Phantom ghost context, means realms/rooms. So they’d have to be travelling across this infinite space of these realms to do so, even an alternative infinite Earth (we can see an Easter Island head in the background of one of these doors). Now one might contest that they’re simply activating their dimensional travel again, but they would have to cause this explosion/attack to initiate again when they’re more than likely travelling across said space.

Multi Danny Phantom

(These two MFS causing trouble for the stats of this verse)

Let’s talk about the more concrete scaling and have a look at Multi+ Danny.

If you read the cosmology section, this should be simple. Emotionally charged Danny and Vlad can both defeat Phantom in a fight, who was stated to have enough power to end all of reality (Including both the Ghost Zone and Human Zone, which we’ve already established are infinite in size). Being able to destroy the Ghost Zone would include an infinite number of realms that exist on their time stream. Not only that, but Dark Danny had enough power to corrupt and destroy multiple timelines.

This is kinda as blatant as you’re going to get for Multiversal.

I also want to talk about the possibility of the Reality Gauntlet. For those who don’t know, the Reality Gauntlet is a weapon that gives the user control over reality. They can bring things to life, transform anything into anything else, and make your dreams real. This gauntlet is used by Freakshow, who states that this “Allows the wearer to control reality.” The power of this gauntlet is backed up by Freakshow later uses it to change day to night and send a reality-warping wave across the world.

Then, you have the men in white. The Men in White are ghost-hunting experts who believe the reality gauntlet has enough power to wipe out ghosts forever, something backed up by Freakshow wanting to do a similar thing. Of course, to destroy all ghosts, you would have to permanently remove the Ghost Zone. To back this up, The Men in White’s goal is the ultimate destruction of the Ghost Zone, and study ways to do this.

Yeah, Danny just destroys this with his powers after altering reality so everyone forgets who he was.

Now, is this as concrete as the Phantom scaling? Absolutely not. Is it needed? Not really. But it’s further evidence to back up these high-tier arguments we’re presenting.

Zs'Skayr

What is an Ectonurite?

In short: really weird. These things do not make sense. First off:  Ectonurites are the former resident race of the planet of Anur Phaetos, now residing on Anur Transyl. They are a ghostlike species that lack Mana, the energy of (almost) all living things that originate from the plane of Legerdomain, mana is multidimensional (4:33) that serves even as one’s full astral projection, ie the concept of their being, and representation of their soul. They also lack bodies as a whole. So in essence they lack several qualities that are the fundamental aspects of one’s existence, yet they still possess DNA, even if it’s potentially protoplasmic. So they’re neither corporeal beings, nor ghosts, but something else entirely, being quite possibly the freakiest species in the known universe.

Where is the Alpha Rune?

It’s gone. He only uses it to teleport Charmcaster a single time and, after siphoning its power, to resurrect Lord Transyl and eventually the Vladats with machinery. He throws away the rune because he believes it to now be powerless (something Charmcaster points out is wrong) and loses access to his castle (where all of the equipment contains the Rune’s power) at the end of the Anur arc. In short, Zs’Skayr will not be receiving the Alpha Rune for this battle.

It’s also important to note that Zs’Skayr isn’t proficient in magic. Not only do Ectonurites lack mana, but the Alpha Rune specifically buffs the mana of not just the user, but people within the vicinity. Ben 10 Cosmology: Explained

Yay! Everybody’s favorite when it comes to Ben 10! We’re not gonna cover everything because like…. We really don’t need to, and a complete deep dive would be better for a more fitting matchup, so we’re just covering essentials.

First off the main universe itself is infinite, as it contains infinite star systems. However the Ben 10 universe is even much larger, as it contains various sub dimensions, pocket dimensions and more, that all exist inside one another. All of which have their own space-times, whilst also being “endless” in size. While there are at least millions of these said realities, we know for a fact there are infinite of them. This goes even further with evidence of higher dimensions that exist in the Ben 10 cosmology, however, they’re not really necessary for the debate at hand, and as such will not be discussed in the blog.

Dagon and Sir George, again? (Now featuring Feedback)

Wouldn’t be a Ben 10 blog without us discussing this, huh?

Yes, Dagon and Sir George, are some of the two most powerful characters within Ben 10. Since Atom Eve vs Gwen Tennyson fundamentally changed Ben 10 scaling across the entire verse (Everyone likely scales to immeasurable, including previous low-tier characters like Animo and the Vreedles) and the possibility of most characters scaling to Low-high multi-arguments which includes Zs’Skayr scaling to. Members of this blog have had disagreements over this, so it’s important to give both parties a say on what they believe in.

Important Context: But, before we do that, let’s lay out some important facts. Zs’Skayr could scale to Dagon and Sir George by being able to fight and defeat people like Vilgax and Gwen Tennyson. As for the Feedback feat, this is something new. This argument is that Ben’s aliens should scale to the Annihilargh through Ben’s watch cycling through all options before finally settling on Feedback, with Ben’s aliens not dying from trying to contain the explosion

Why does he scale: Hi Mediocre Productions here! I’m about to explain why I think it’s fair to buy this scaling (not that I necessarily do). This is gonna take some tough explaining to do, so hang in with me.

First off Dagon stuff, which is much easier to explain. First off Ultimate Humungosaur matches Sir George, to the point he has to reason with Ben to stop. There are some arguments against this like Sir George would’ve been holding back, which is contradicted earlier in the episode, as George states that if Ben interferes again, he will use all force necessary to stop Ben (5:20), to imply Sir George is holding back by any significant degree would require huge leaps in logic and contradict George’s character that he will do anything to do what he believes right. Additionally in this scene we see Ultimate Humungosaur directly overpower Sir George (19:21). Other ultimate aliens are shown relativity to George, adding further to this potential scaling. Even if we want to say Ult Humungo doesn’t scale to the full power, even casual feats from Ascalon can affect the universe as a whole, and George clearly had to put effort in his fight with Ultimate Humungosaur.

As to why all this matters, and how Zs’Skayr could possibly scale? Well it’s stated that Ultimate Humungosaur is 10x stronger than base Humungosaur, thus base Humungosaur is 1/10th of Ultimate Humungosaur who is equal to Sir George. Zs’Skayr fought Warlord Vilgax who was superior to Humungosaur, meaning he should upscale Humungosaur’s downscaling. A complicated scaling chain for sure, but I do think it can hold up.

Now for the trickier part: the Anniliargh. In this scene Ben’s aliens hold off the annihilargh’s big bang. Now there’s some very clear misconceptions people use to argue against this scene: for one, isn’t the entire point of the scene that the Omnitrix finds Ben the only one that can survive the situation?

In short: No. This is never stated in the episode, instead Ben just theorizes the Omnitrix wouldn’t let him die (18:32), making it unclear what the failsafe even really is beyond just preventing Ben from dying. If the Omnitrix is just finding the right alien for the job, and Feedback is the only one, why would it start with Feedback, go through all of these other forms and then just go back to Feedback? The Omnitrix also passes by Alien X who just like can survive the annihilargh straight up zero arguments. So saying this scene is implying all the other aliens couldn’t survive at all is kind of against the show’s own internal logic. Additionally, just because the annihilargh presumably killed all of these aliens in the first Annihilargh detonation also doesn’t mean anything, as the Annihilargh when detonated in an existing universe has different functions, IE destroying space-time as opposed to creating it, meaning this doesn’t necessarily debunk AP. Another argument against this is: wouldn’t this mean even aliens like Grey Matter scale? Not necessarily, the Omnitrix does flash through a bunch of aliens, however some aliens do contain it for extended periods, including but not limited to Humungousaur, Upgrade, Clockwork, Armodrillo, etc. If they were meant to be destroyed instantly, why didn’t they flash through in a single frame like the others? If this is really what the scene is implying, they would’ve all been just individual frames before landing on Feedback. Meaning several of these aliens held off the big bang from their own power (Humungosaur finally beating the jobber allegations?). Even if we do say Greymatter scales (he doesn’t but let’s pretend he does so we can say Greymatter beats Goku, wild), even this doesn’t necessarily debunk the scaling. Saying even Greymatter does it therefore it doesn’t count, is sort of circular reasoning, why does this indicate he doesn’t scale? Because he’s a weak alien in verse? Well that’s in verse context, which doesn’t really mean anything cross verse. Characters’ scaling are defined by feats, not pre-examined notations on how strong these characters are. Using this to deny the feat, is like saying Batman isn’t town level because he’s a human. And again even if you disagree with that, this argument isn’t arguing Greymatter scales, just the aliens that hold the Big Bang for substantial periods of time. One last notable thing to address is that: did the writers intend any of this? Probably not, but that doesn’t really matter. Invoking the death of the author is cliche at this point, but the fundamentals of power scaling are built off of it. Did the writers intend this moment to say every single one of these aliens are multi + and possibly even higher? Obviously not, but the writers also didn’t intend for them to really scale anywhere. We analyze what is portrayed on screen and what we can gage from there. I doubt Spider-Man writers think Spider-Man is city level, but that’s what a majority of what the community thinks.

Anyways that’s my two cents on why this scaling is solid enough to be used.

Why doesn’t he scale?: Hi! Saul here (Also Door!)! I’m going to be writing about why certain blog members don’t buy these feats. If you read Atom Eve vs Gwen Tennyson (It’s a good blog, go and read) You might have seen my writing on why I don’t believe Gwen herself should scale to Sir George, so I'll be reiterating many of the same writings that I did there. If it’s a crime to copy and paste your work, please, lock me up.

For Sir George scaling, context matters. The main argument for his scaling comes from Ultimate Humungosaur’s fight with Sir George, but Sir George isn’t a villain, and he doesn’t wish to damage Ben. As I put within Gwen vs Eve, “. At the start of the battle Ben turns into Fasttrack and gets knocked down by George, who says he’s “warning them.” (3:30) So he’s clearly not putting out his full power. He directly states he’s been “Going easy on you.” (5:00) Which confirms our suspicions. “ I did, however, make a mistake. I stated that the fight with Ultimate Humungosaur takes place before these warnings, but I was wrong, they take place after. Not only that, but Sir. George is trying to convince Ben to leave him alone. (20:33) even agreeing to give the sword over to Ben if George fails. It would make no sense for him to be using the same strength to kill Ben as he did to Dagon. Sure, you can argue that Ultimate Humungosaur scales to the casual feats of Ascalon, like its planet busting, but to try and scale the cast to any uni+ stuff would make no sense.  And as for Dagon? I’ll let past Saul take it from here. “As for Lucubra Vilgax, Dagon himself states that Vilgax “refuses to use the power he’s given him.” “ Yeah, Vilgax is failing to use the power that Dagon is giving him, a direct statement.

Hi, Door here - I’ll be explaining the issues with the other argument for Zs’Skayr scaling to Multi+, and that would be the infamous Annihilargh explosion, where every alien for a few frames can hold the explosion. So, should all of them scale to it as a result?

…yeah, no. First of all, context matters. The scene demonstrates the Omnitrix’s failsafe going through all of the aliens before it gets to Feedback, and the fact that they only are able to do it for a few frames shows that they clearly cannot handle it for long, as otherwise it’d stay on them. There’s no reason to scale them to Feedback’s maximum potential with energy absorption, and holding a dangerous thing for a few frames, with some holding it for a second or two at best, is not conducive to scaling to it, and you’d have to have evidence that they’d actually be able to match it in potency, which this scene does not offer any of. The logic of aliens who hold it for a bit longer = stronger is also just inherently flawed, as ALIEN X holds it for less time than Humungosaur. This is obviously an incredibly weird thing but it just goes to show that the argument is just… not very strong

Narratively, it also doesn’t really make sense for most of these aliens shown to be able to hold it, as they’re lower-tiered aliens - as every single alien is shown here, you’d have to argue that every single one scales to this feat. This is not what is intended in the scene - I really don’t think the writers thought that Gray Matter can hold back the destruction of the universe - and narratively is wack to argue most of these creatures scaling to this level of potency. As a result, arguing Multi+ off this scene is narratively, incredibly awkward, and doesn’t have enough supporting evidence to back it up.

Overall, we don’t really think the arguments for Zs’Skayr scaling to the peak of Ben 10 are very justified, and have a lot of issues with what’s actually shown or narratively are incredibly awkward.

Stats

Let’s start with these stats that I’ve been haunting me (No pun intended). If you’re looking at only finite numbers, Zs’Skayr sweeps. Danny Phantom maxes out in the Teratons and at 339 trillion times the speed of light - certainly nothing to scoff at. However, even the most basic Ben 10 feats get much higher - well into the Septillions and Solar System ranges. However, the infinite ends for both are something to bring into contention - if you bought infinite ends for both, they’d be equal in stats, right? Well…

Now let’s talk about what ends we buy. Of course, you’ve seen arguments for Zs’Skayr to possibly scale to universal-multiversal levels of power, and we believe that’s not correct. (If you read the BTV, you would understand that). We believe that, with our most reasonable strength ends, Zs’Skayr should scale to Gravattack at 19.5 Yottatons-614.82 FOE. As for Vlad, his scaling to Clockwork and Dark Danny puts him at Multiversal+. This makes Vlad infinitely stronger than Zs’Skayr in every department. As for speed, we believe that they should be equal. Ben Ten has plenty of infinite - immeasurable arguments, while Danny Phantom has two infinite arguments. So, no-one should be blitzing the other.

So, overall in stats, Vlad has an insurmountable advantage in terms of strength, while in terms of speed, the two should be dead-even - as a result, Vlad should roughly take stats.

Arsenal & Abilities

Now let’s talk about their arsenal and abilities. Both have many overlapping powers that would interact in the same way. For example, they both can turn invisible, phase through walls and can make others intangible. Vlad has an advantage with his Vlad Bug, a device he uses as a tracking device. As seen within equipment, this bug can attach to intangible foes, giving Vlad constant knowledge of where Zs’Skayr is. It’s also important to note that while Zs’Skayr could likely sense Vlad while he’s invisible, Zs’Skayr doesn’t use his invisibility in most situations, using it as a more defensive tactic. Vlad loves to go invisible and is more likely to use it in combat.

As for their separate abilities, Vlad is a far more versatile foe with his Ecto-Energy. This allows him to keep Zs’Skayr away from his constructs or block attacks using his shields. Given the flammable nature of Ecto Energy, Zs’Skayr is constantly going to have to put out flames before it becomes overwhelming. While this won’t kill him (Remember, Zs’Skayr is the ghost who took a light beam), it will keep him on the back foot and prevent him from entering his ‘True Darkness’ form.

Another power interaction is Zs’Skayrs energy beam, which can be absorbed and re-directed by Vlad during the fight.

Duplication is a big factor in this fight. Multiple clones, which all can use Vlad’s powers, will keep Zs’Skayr second-guessing who he’s fighting. Vlad’s also intelligent with these clones, using one to trick Pariah Dark into believing he caught the real Vlad. Combine that with Vlad’s teleportation, and Zs’Skayr will have trouble keeping track of him.

We can also bring up Dimensional Travel. While it’s unknown how Vlad and Danny caused this effect (It was likely due to the explosion the two caused), Vlad can bring the fight to wherever he wishes. One of these locations could be the Ghost Zone, where everyone is a ghost (including those who enter). This would mean that Vlad’s ghost-hunting tech would work on Zs’Skayr, which would otherwise not work due to the differences between Ectonurites and Danny Phantom ghosts.

Also, while in the Ghost Zone, Vlad could use the Ghost Key to unlock Pariah Dark. He wouldn’t help him, but it would make the fight into a 1v1v1.

As for Zs’Skayr’s other abilities? While Vlad doesn’t have a direct counter to Telekinesis, this power is pretty null (heh) in this battle. It’s not something that would get him the win, and at best would allow him to keep Vlad away or destroy his tech. The Binding Blasts could also wrap Vlad up, but he could simply phase out or teleport away.

Now, let’s get into the complicated ability clash of possession. So, can they use their possession on each other? Let’s start with Vlad and his possession. Vlad, in this fight, has a better means of possessing Zs’Skayr. Given the hundards of Shadow Clones, he would have to make the vote an unheard sweep, Zs’Skayr would struggle to not get possessed. And yes, Zs’Skayr can get possessed. There’s no evidence within the show that Ectonurites can resist possession, and statements from creators exist that Ectonurites can possess each other. As for Zs’Skayr’s possession, it would likely not work. Vlad is half human, half ghost. We know that Ectonurites fail to possess those who have mixed DNA. Ben’s aliens and Kevin, in his mutated form, fail to be possessed. As a halfa (Direct name), Vlad’s molecules have been rearranged and manipulated by Ectoplasm, meaning that Zs’Skayr likely can’t possess him. The molecule rearrangement would also protect Vlad from being transmuted into an Ectonurite servant. The one thing that Vlad cannot defend against is Zs’Skayr entering his mind and killing him from the inside. But, this is an ability only seen once and is used in Zs’Skayrs smartest scheme on a target who’s still. It’s also important to note that King Xarion still put up resistance against Zs’Skayr, by his admission, so it’s unclear if going into the mind of someone infinitely more powerful than you could just end in your death. But this is a little more generous to Vlad.

But what if Zs’Skayr can? Cool, then they both can possess each other, but one of them has way more ways to possess the other.

As for Zs’Skayrs immortality, that has no time-frame and most of the times we’ve seen him come back are from outside sources. It would be unfair to argue that Zs’Skayr could just magically pop back into the fight when he’s never done it.

Overall, while there is some discussion, Vlad ultimately has many more abilities to keep Zs’Skayr in check then vice-versa, and has many more win-conditions then he does with his set of abilities, as well as arguably resisting Zs’Skayr’s possession. As a result, Vlad should also take the area of abilities.

Tertiary Factors

While it might look like Zs’Skayr has been around longer, Ectonurite DNA surviving in a strand of DNA means that he’s been locked up in the Omnitrix for a while. Not only that, but he spends much of the series dead. Vlad has been training in his powers for 20 years and has been in more overall fights than Zs’Skayr. In terms of skill, Vlad is more skilled at fighting as himself and with different weapons. Zs’Skayr relies on possessing others and using their abilities, although he did fist-fight Vilgax. Skill would likely even out

As for intelligence? Vlad is a constant schemer who is constantly thinking of the next plan. He’s made multiple ghost devices, tricked Danny on multiple occasions, and ventured into the terrifying world of politics. Zs’Skayr, while not stupid, definitely lets his ego get the better of him. See Dr. Viktor, who Zs’Skayr assumed was so loyal to him, when in reality he wasn’t.

Conclusion

“I thought turning back time would fix my mistakes, but it only made things worse. Because I haven’t faced the fundamental problem. Me, it was always me.”

Advantages:

  • Infinitely stronger

  • More versatile in abilities that don’t directly match

  • Could possess Zs’Skayr, while arguably resisting Zs’Skayr’s own possession attempts

  • Ecto Energy causing fire to things prevents Zs’Skayr from going into True Darkness form

  • Vlad’s energy absorption negates and redirects Zs’Skayr’s energy attacks

  • Duplication gives a consistent numbers advantage and battlefield control, enhanced by Vlad’s teleportation and flight

  • Dimensional Travel could let him bring the fight to anywhere he wishes, and would theoretically make him able to use his ghost-capturing tech on Zs’Skayr should he bring him to the Ghost Zone

  • Can track Zs’Skayr while invisible, while Zs’Skayr cannot do the same

  • Smarter and more experienced

  • Really loves MILFS (just like me fr).

  • 5YL (can totally solo Celestialsapiens trust me bro)

Equal:

  • Speed with immeasurable/infinite ends

  • Invisibility and intangible cross-over with each other

Disadvantages:

  • Slaughtered in stats when using finite ends

  • Ectonurite psychology means that Vlad’s ghost-capturing tech won’t work on Zs’Skayr outside of the Ghost Zone

  • Mind Manipulation could kill him if used

  • The ending sucked so bad, also, the clones of Maddie

  • Butch.

Overall, while this match had some room for discussion, Vlad should pretty firmly come out on top no matter how you look at it. In terms of stats, while they should both match in speed, Vlad should be much, much stronger then Zs’Skayr - scaling Zs’Skayr to the high ends of Ben 10 requires far too much leniency to him and is not very well supported by any information within canon, meaning Vlad is infinitely stronger then him at his best.

However, let’s be nice to Zs’Skayr, and say stats are even, for the sake of it. Unfortunately, this won’t help, due to Vlad’s far superior hax. He’s the only one who can keep track of the other while invisible, his duplication ensures he’ll always have an advantage in numbers, his fire means that Zs’Skayr cannot access his full potential and would always be on the back foot, his dimensional travel gives him control over where the fight would take place, he’s the only one who can negate the other’s energy attacks, and more. Not to mention, his numbers advantage ensures that in any possession battles, Vlad would be in a far better place to get it off first, and that’s assuming that Vlad would be able to be possessed in the first place, which is a very loose assumption to begin with.

And finally, in terms of tertiary factors, Vlad should also take them with a healthy margin. He’s generally shown to be much smarter and a bit less blinded by his ego and is generally more experienced then Zs’Skayr in actual fights, meaning that Zs’Skayr can’t really overwhelm him there, either.

Overall, while Zs’Skayr had some advantages, Vlad takes basically every area that matters in this fight - overall, Zs’Skayr would probably freak at his defeat, but this ghost has become just a mere Fenton of his former self. Guess the true master of this fight was with us all along.

The winner is Vlad Plasmius.

Team Zs’Skayr

Stats

This debate is surprisingly a tricky one to nail down. First off with stats, with finite ends Zs’Skayr definitely takes the edge and then some, especially in speed where Vlad maybe peaks in the quadrillions c, but Zs’Skayr can potentially scale to septillions and even an octotringintillions c (which is apparently a number : |). Both have very similar infinite/immeasurable arguments, with them both depending on their cosmologies’ size and characters affecting them. However none of this really matters, as post the novel, Vlad pretty solidly scales to multi + levels of AP and Dura. Zs’Skayr however can debatably match (and potentially far exceed) via his own cosmological arguments, while his are for sure less blatant, they are solid enough to be in the discussion. With Zs’Skayr effectively matching or taking stats in high and low ends, but Vlad having better high-end arguments, leaving stats to be a bit of a toss-up.

Arsenal and abilities

For skill and experience, both were roughly even, with Vlad having more on screen combat experience and skill than Zs’Skayr, but Zs’Skayr has potentially far more overall experience due to being implied to be centuries old, and showing off decent skill by keeping up very skilled combatants like Vilgax and Ben Tennyson. Making skill is not exactly a deciding factor. Both were shown to be adept at manipulating others emotions, but also subject to being undone by their own hubris, leading either of them directly manipulating or taking advantage of one another, to be unlikely. Effectively leaving everything just up to hax and abilities. Both could match each other blow for blow with several overlapping powers like intangibility and invisibility. Both also directly countered each other in several ways as well, such as Vlad having fire and other luminescent abilities, which while not enough to exploit Zs’Skayr’s vulnerability to bright light, was enough to prevent Zs’Skayr from amping himself from pure darkness. Most of Vlad’s tech was rendered useless, as it specifically targets ghosts, which while he does greatly resemble one, Zs’Skayr is not, and Zs’Skayr could possibly redirect it back onto Vlad with his telekinetic and possession abilities.

Tertiary factors

However, where this debate reaches its climax is directly comparing their possession abilities. Vlad does have better ways to execute his possession given that even his clones can possess other entities, this really doesn’t matter at the end of the day, because he likely couldn’t possess Zs’Skayr to begin with. To explain this, we need to explain that the ghosts in Danny Phantom are awfully unique compared to most depictions in media, because they aren’t really spirits. They are manifestations of human emotions, and surprisingly aren’t incorporeal, while they can become intangible at will, this is just a power rather than a direct indication they are incorporeal. They are regularly portrayed to be physical in nature, unless they decide otherwise. Meanwhile, however, Ectonurites are stated to directly lack bodies, and they also lack the spiritual energy of mana, making their existence something else entirely. What that exactly is, is unclear, but since ghost possession works by hijacking bodies inherently, this would in all likelihood prevent Vlad from possessing Zs’Skayr. Even if he was capable of such, it likely wouldn’t matter. As when Ben tried taking control of Zs’Skayr in Alien Force, Zs’Skayr instead took control of him, meaning Vlad would likely unintentionally incap himself while trying to do so. Now on the opposite end could Zs’Skayr possess Vlad? Surprisingly, yes. While one initial argument against this is that since Vlad is technically a mutant he’d be immune to possession like mutant Kevin. This however is a massive stretch and a huge leap in logic. As the scene itself, never really elaborates on why the ectonurite couldn’t possess Kevin. While Kevin does attribute it to his condition at the time, there’s never direct indication that this applies to all mutations, and could more likely just be unique to this form, and there’s no reason to assume otherwise. Another supporting piece of evidence is Zs’Skayr couldn’t possess Ben while in alien form, which according to one pop up states Ben’s aliens are mergings of Ben’s DNA and alien DNA. This again is also a gigantic stretch and borderline headcanon, it’s never stated why Zs’Skayr can’t possess Ben in alien form, and you can come up with a billion different explanations, (such as it’s just a safety precaution of the Omnitrix, Zs’Skayr can’t override an alien form since he himself is kind of a transformation, etc) making any argument like this would be manufacturing lore to sustain an argument. Additionally, this idea of Ben’s alien transformations being hybrids, is objectively false, as the Omnitrix has been stated to rewrite Ben’s biology entirely several times, and the Omnitrix once created a hybrid transformation Nanomech who is treated as being entirely separate from the rest of Ben’s forms, and again even if you disagree with that, it doesn’t matter as them being hybrids is never given as a reason for Zs’Skayr being unable to possess them. We know Vlad himself is possessable as that’s the reason for the creation of Dark Danny,  and ghosts have never shown any true resistance to possession. Giving Zs’Skayr plenty of leeway to possess Vlad, which would allow him to easily deal with his clones, as he can turn anyone he possesses into an ectonurite drone. Eventually allowing him to possess Vlad directly, which Zs’Skayr could then destroy his consciousness, turn him into an ectonurite drone, or even remove his powers entirely and kill him from there. Vlad’s ghost self could potentially corrupt Zs’Skayr if he possesses it directly, but this doesn’t help Vlad any, and might be worse for him because it would result in an evilier Zs’Skayr.

Conclusion

Zs'Skayr

“What’s the matter, Ben? Aren’t you glad to see me? Haven’t you learned by now that nothing can stop me!?”

Advantages:

  • Sweeps stats with finite ends

  • Arguably infinitely stronger if both infinite ends are accepted

  • Unique Physiology makes Vlad’s ghost-hunting tech null

  • Could possess Vlad while resisting Vlad’s own attempts

  • Vlad’s corruption would be no issue for him

  • More violent and bloodthirsty

  • Counters Vlad’s clones with his own override ability

  • Possibly far more experienced

  • Greater endurance and survivability

  • Apparently the trusted caretaker for his nieces. Unexpectedly wholesome?

  • Is voiced by Steve Blum (GOAT)

Equal:

  • Speed with immeasurable/infinite ends

  • Invisibility and intangibility cross over with each other

Disadvantages:

Overall this debate had a variety of complicated factors. Both evened out, in a lot of areas. Stats were the most complex factor, and while higher ends for Vlad are more blatant, Zs’Skayr’s aren’t that far behind. Neither was likely to really outsmart the other, so the fight really faltered to other factors, in which case Zs’Skayr really started to take clear victories. Vlad may have been a cunning, cruel and formidable phantom, but against the High Ecto Lord, he didn’t stand a ghost of a chance.

The winner is Zs’Skayr.
